Join Miss Emily and Miss Megan Andrews for a long-awaited book club on J. K. Rowling’s classic fantasy series. In 7 weekly sessions, we will walk with Harry through his harrowing coming-of-age drama and relish the brilliance of Rowling’s world. In addition to our regular hilarity and hijinks, we can’t wait to unpack the transcendent themes at the heart of this drama, which promise to make this series an enduring classic.

July 11 - August 1: Performing Shakespeare

This is a casting call for the next great Shakespearean actors! Miss Megan and Miss Emily will once again be offering their beloved class on “Performing Shakespeare.” When it comes to understanding the Bard, there is nothing like having to put yourself in the shoes of his characters and bring them to life onstage. After all, Shakespeare’s plays were meant to be performed!

July 12 - August 2: Teaching Poetry Socratically

We will be diving into the details of what it looks like to apply Teaching the Classics principles specifically to poetry. In the process, we will be making the method concrete by reading and discussing plenty of good poems by some of our favorite classic and contemporary poets.
